SC79はAKT活性化剤です。SC79は、PtdIns（3,4,5）P3の結合を模倣するAktのプレクストリン相同（PH）ドメインに結合し、リン酸化と活性化を促進するAktの高次構造変化を誘導します。SC79は、細胞ベースのアッセイで細胞質Aktシグナル伝達を誘導し、脳卒中のマウスモデルで神経細胞死を防ぎます。
