Informações sobre genes

Descrição geral

By immunoblotting, this antibody shows ~50% cross-reactivity with recombinant rat GHR and 20% cross-reactivty with recombinant human GHR.
Growth Hormone Receptor encodes a protein that is a transmembrane receptor for growth hormone. Binding of growth hormone to the receptor leads to receptor dimerization and the activation of intra- and intercellular signal transduction pathways.

Imunogênio

purified, NSO-derived, recombinant mouse growth hormone receptor extracellular domain.

Aplicação

Anti-Growth Hormone Receptor antibody produced in goat was used to study the protein and protein phosphorylation levels in rat primary hippocampal cultures using Li-cor Odyssey fluorescence technology.

Ações bioquímicas/fisiológicas

Growth hormone (GH) is secreted by the anterior pituitary and functions by binding specific growth hormone receptor (GHR). GH stimulates the secretion of insulin-like growth factor-1 that mediates some of its growth promoting actions. The activity of GH/GHR is important for normal physiology and aging processes.

forma física

Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in phosphate buffered saline with 5% trehalose.

The accumulation of stochastic DNA damage throughout an organism's lifespan is thought to contribute to ageing. Conversely, ageing seems to be phenotypically reproducible and regulated through genetic pathways such as the insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) and growth hormone (GH) receptors
