生化／生理作用

黄嘌呤参与核酸和核苷酸的代谢，是尿酸的前体。它是一种多功能化合物，在与呼吸道、中枢神经系统（CNS）、肾脏、胃、平滑肌细胞和心脏有关的多种药理学条件下有治疗作用。黄嘌呤可作为检测痛风的生物标志物。
