アプリケーション

デキストラン硫酸は、リポタンパク質の選択的沈降、プローブハイブリダイゼーション膜固定DNA、DNA‐ヒストン複合体からのDNAの遊離、およびリボソームへのRNAの結合の阻害にルーチン的に使用されます。

生物化学的／生理学的作用

デキストラン硫酸ナトリウム塩で処理するとマウスやラットで結腸に存在する中鎖長脂肪酸に結合することにより炎症を誘発することにより大腸炎を発生させる要因となります。
