邻苯二甲胺 Free Base 是过氧化物酶底物，适用于ELISA程序。 底物产生可溶的最终产物，其颜色为橙棕色，并且可以在 450nm 下通过分光光度计读取。可以用 3N HCl 或 3M H2SO4 终止 OPD 反应，并在 492nm 处读取。

生化／生理作用
邻苯二甲胺（o-PD）是一种有效底物，可用于分光光度法辣根过氧化物酶（HRP）介导的酶联免疫吸附测定（ELISA），产生2,3-二氨基吩嗪（DAP）作为o-PD氧化的产物。
重構
将 1 片片剂溶于 0.05 M 磷酸盐-柠檬酸盐缓冲液 (pH 5.0) 中，得到所需浓度（通常 OPD 浓度为 使用 0.4 mg/mL）。在使用前立即每 100ml 底物缓冲溶液中加入 40μl 新鲜的 30% 过氧化氢。片剂分别包装在箔包中。
