General description

Universal Proteomics Standard 3 (UPS3) is a mixture of 8 non-human proteins at 4 orders of magnitude. It is intended to be useful as a quantitative reference standard for samples containing human proteins and analyzed by mass spectrometry. The proteins were screened for limited human homology in silico, and tested by peptide mapping to ensure little or no interference with human samples.

Application

Proteomic Quantification

Features and Benefits

In an effort to facilitate standardized, optimized, and shareable data/protocols for analysis of human protein samples, we have designed a new standard:
  • Affordable, for routine use
  • No peptide homology with human samples
  • Minimized carryover between runs

Components

This product is comprised of the following: Each vial contains eight non-human, lyophilized proteins ranging from 100 picomoles to 0.1 picomoles. Total protein content is ~8 μg as determined by UV.
