Beta Glucan is a compound extracted from the cell wall of processed Baker's yeast. It contains mainly β-(1,3)/(1,6) branched glucan polymers with some amounts of β -(1,6)-glucan and chitin.

Application

Beta Glucan USP reference standard intended for use in specified quality tests and assays.

Also used to prepare standard solution during the identification and content determination of Beta Glucan using nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectroscopy.
