General description
Alpha Fluor™ 488 NHS Ester (Succinimidyl Ester) is a water soluble, bright green fluorescent dye that exhibits an excitation max at 499 nm and an emission max at 520 nm with an extinction coefficient of 73,000 cm-1 M-1. It is suitable for use over a wide range of pH (4 to 10). It can be used with the 488 nm Argon laser and its spectral properties are identical to Alexa Fluor™ 488. The NHS ester is the most convenient amine-reactive form for conjugating it to proteins and antibodies and can be used for stable signal generation in Flow cytometry. It displays high photostability and brighter fluorescence.
