Anti-CCDC50 antibody produced in rabbit, a Prestige Antibody, is developed and validated by the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) project . Each antibody is tested by immunohistochemistry against hundreds of normal and disease tissues. These images can be viewed on the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) site by clicking on the Image Gallery link. CCDC50 (coiled-coil domain containing 50) gene encodes a cytoplasmic protein that is phosphorylated on tyrosine residue. The protein functions as an effector of epidermal growth factor (EGF)-mediated cell signaling. It is involved in the inhibition of the EGF receptor down-regulation. Defects in this gene cause nonsyndromic, postlingual, progressive sensorineural DFNA44 hearing loss
