本製品は、Klebsiella pneumoniaeから抽出されたフェノールです。源株はATCC 15380です。
生物化学的／生理学的作用
リポポリサッカライド（LPS）は、膜の外層に局在しており、無莢膜株では細胞表面に露出しています。外膜の完全性に寄与し、胆汁酸塩および脂溶性抗生物質の作用から細胞を保護します。
調製ノート
本製品は水（5 mg/ml）または細胞培養培地（1 mg/ml）に溶解し、かすんだ淡黄色の溶液になります。より濃い溶液（20 mg/ml）もかすんでいますが、ボルテックスミキサーで処理し、70～80oCに温めた後、生理食塩水で調製できました。リポ多糖は、あらゆる溶媒中でミセルを形成する分子です。かすんだ溶液は水およびリン酸緩衝生理食塩水で観察されます。有機溶媒はより透明な溶液を与えません。メタノールでは浮遊物を含む濁ったサスペンションとなりますが、水では均一にかすんだ溶液になります。
