トリズマはpH範囲が7.5～8.5の緩衝液の調製に使用されます。トリス緩衝液は、細胞生物学および分子生物学において、たんぱく質や核酸の抽出と精製といったプロセスに広く使用されます。ツイーン20を含むトリス緩衝生理食塩水（pH 7.6）は、酵素結合抗体免疫吸着法などのアッセイにおける洗浄緩衝液として使用されます。
再構成
1タブレットを500 mLの脱イオン水に溶解することによって以下の溶液ができます。
0.15 M塩化ナトリウム、0.050 m TRIS-HClバッファー;0.05% Tween®20;
