Applicazioni

Ampicillin Sodium may be used as a pharmaceutical secondary reference standard for the determination of the analyte in pharmaceutical formulations by high performance liquid chromatography with ultra violet detection and second-derivative spectrophotometry, respectively.

These Secondary Standards are qualified as Certified Reference Materials. These are suitable for use in several analytical applications including but not limited to pharma release testing, pharma method development for qualitative and quantitative analyses, food and beverage quality control testing, and other calibration requirements.

Modalità d′azione: Si tratta di un antibiotico ß-lattamico che inibisce la sintesi della parete batterica inattivando le transpeptidasi sulla superficie interna della membrana cellulare batterica.

Modalità di resistenza: La somministrazione di ß-lattamasi scinde l′anello ß-lattamico dell′ampicillina e lo inattiva

Spettro antimicrobico: Include batteri gram positivi (simile alla benzilpenicillina) e gram negativi (simile alle tetracicline e al cloramfenicolo).
