Ações bioquímicas/fisiológicas

A clindamicina é um antibiótico semissintético de lincosamida que é preparado a partir de lincomicina. Ele inibe a síntese de proteínas bacterianas por interações de pontes de hidrogênio com o componente de rRNA 23S da subunidade ribossômica 50S, induzindo, assim, a dissociação do complexo peptidil-t-RNA. Tem atividade antibacteriana contra cocos gram-positivos e atividade antiprotozoários contra Taxoplasma.
