General description

Immunoglobulin G (IgG) belongs to immunoglobulin family and consists of gamma (γ) heavy chain in the constant (C) region. IgG is a widely expressed serum antibody. Monomeric structure of IgG constitutes two identical heavy chains and two identical light chains with molecular weight of 50 kDa and 25 kDa respectively. The primary structure of this antibody also contains disulfide bonds involved in linking the two heavy chains, linking the heavy and light chains and resides inside the chains. IgG is further subdivided into four classes namely, IgG1, IgG2, IgG3, and IgG4 with different heavy chains, named γ1, γ2, γ3, and γ4, respectively. IgG is produced and released from CD5+B cells, the predominant lymphocytes in the neonatal cell repertoire. Maternal IgG is the only antibody transported across the placenta to the fetus. Maternal IgG passively immunizes the infants.
The Negative Control is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody against a small molecule, which is normally not present in human or animal. The product will not cross-react with human tissues when used at the recommended concentration.

Application

Rabbit IgG Negative Control has been used as a negative control to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of recombinant human interleukin-11 (IL-11) for treatment of idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura.

Natural antibodies arise independently of known antigenic stimulation, are mostly IGM, polyreactive, and are generally encoded by V genes in germline configuration. Polyreactive IgM natural antibodies are produced by mainly B-1 cells which account for most of the B cell
