Application

Gastrin I human has been used as a molecular weight marker to calibrate superdex® 30 columns.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Gastrin plays a major role in parietal cell function, gastric epithelial cell multiplication and differentiation. It acts as a modulator in maintaining and organizing gastric mucosa. It is produced in the stomach and stimulates gastric acid secretion.
