生化/生理作用

乙酰肉碱转移酶(CrAT)是一种酶,有助于乙酰辅酶A和肉碱向乙酰肉碱和游离辅酶A的可逆转化。这种酶过程促进脂肪酸的β-氧化,从而在真核细胞的能量代谢中起关键作用。CrAT介导的乙酰肉碱生成和外流有助于维持线粒体中乙酰辅酶A和乙酰肉碱之间的平衡,再生游离辅酶A,并缓解丙酮酸脱氢酶((PDH)生成的抑制。丙酮酸脱氢酶是葡萄糖氧化中的关键酶。该过程促进葡萄糖稳态,并有助于维持最佳的细胞能量代谢。乙酰肉碱转移酶活性也有助于细胞周期由G1向S期的转变。乙酰肉碱转移酶的缺乏也导致各种神经疾病的产生,包括阿尔茨海默病、共济失调性脑病和各种血管疾病。
