CD11b is also known as Mac-1, CR3, MO-1 and C3bi receptor. It belongs to β 2 integrin family. The gene encodes the integrin α M chain. It is expressed on the surface of circulating monocytes, granulocytes, neutrophils, macrophages, dendritic cells and certain NK cells. It is present in subcellular granules in granulocytes and on subsets of macrophages.
Monoclonal anti-Human CD11b antibody (mouse IgG1 isotype) is derived from the hybridoma produced by the fusion of mouse myeloma cells and splenocytes from BALB/c mice immunized with human monocytes.

Recognizes the CD11b α-chain of the human CD11b/CD18 complex. The antibody is useful for studies on cell adhesion and migration and for the detection of leukocyte adhesion deficiencies. It also plays an important role in certain coagulation protease cascade and in cell migration.
