Opis ogólny

The EZ-FIT® filtration unit is a sterile and disposable filtration device made of white, gridded, mixed cellulose esters (MCE) membrane and a blue base with cellulose support pad. It is designed for optimizing and securing the laboratory workflow to provide time saving and reliable microbial enumeration results. A vented lid covers the sample throughout filtration, and a 360° rim prevents forceps from accidentally touching the membrane filtration area during membrane transfer. The clear and, transparent funnel material allows for visualizing the end of the filtration from any angle. The blue units provide the extra flexibility of either transferring the membrane to an agar plate or converting the device into a Petri dish by adding the liquid media, after filtration. The filtration units conform to international standards, minimize sample residue, and prevent leakages and bypassing of liquid sample from membrane. The units can be stacked to save the work area. The bulk packaged filtration units are provided with base plugs, to be used while culturing the ampoule liquid media. This disposable device is designed to fit onto the EZ-FIT® Manifold, which features specific EZ-FIT® Filtration heads. It can also fit onto a standard #8 stopper.

Zastosowanie

The EZ-FIT® filtration unit is used in bioburden testing of liquid samples including in-process and final product samples in beverages, pharmaceuticals and water. This product is also used in industrial QC and water monitoring.
