Singlepath^® E. coli is a rapid diagnostic test, designed to detect E. coli bacteria in various food and environmental samples. The Singlepath^® E. coli is an immunochromatographic rapid test based on gold-labeled antibodies to detect the presence of a specific antigen, in this case, the E. coli bacteria. This lateral flow test is based on the immune flow principle and is a convenient and simple-to-use, one-step device. The test includes a nitrocellulose membrane strip that is coated with antibodies specific to E. coli antigens.
