Native glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase from Leuconostoc mesenteroides. Catalyzes the conversion of glucose-6-phosphate to 6-phospho-gluconate. The enzyme can use either NAD or NADP⁺ as an electron acceptor. Reaction velocity with NAD is approximately 1.8 times greater thant that with NADP⁺.
