Acetylcysteine EP Reference standard, intended for use in laboratory tests only as specifically prescribed in the European Pharmacopoeia.

Azioni biochim/fisiol

Agente antiossidante e mucolitico. Incrementa gli agglomerati cellulari di scavenger dei radicali liberi. Riportata la capacità di impedire l′apoptosi nelle cellule neuronali ma di indurla nelle cellule muscolari lisce. Inibisce la replicazione dell′HIV. Può servire come substrato per la glutatione transferasi microsomiale.
