General description
Highly cationic glycoprotein that can selectively bind to a component in human and rodent mast cell granules in fixed-cell preparations, and can be used to identify mast cells in normal and diseased human tissue without requiring a biotinylated probe.
Application
Avidin-Sulforhodamine 101 (Avidin-Texas Red®) has been used for studying the printing of organic nanomaterials using electrospray ionization and Coulomb-force-directed assembly techniques. The product has also been used for microcontact printing studies.
Avidin-conjugated Texas red was used to visualize biotinylated centromeric DNA in a FISHI assay.
