General description

Nylon membrane is a circular, uncharged, microporous, amphoteric, ultra-pure nylon 66 membrane on a polyester support. It has a durable structure with consistent transfer rate.
Surface Properties: Pore size of 1.2 μm. Surface contains 50% amino and 50% carboxyl groups.

Application

  • The membrane discs are specifically suited for:Nonradioactive screening of phage or cosmid libraries with digoxigenin-labeled probes followed by detection with highly sensitive chemiluminescent or chromogenic substrates
  • Hybridization with biotinylated or radioactive probes
  • It has been used in the colony immunoblotting technique.
