Gene Information

human ... NTRK2(4915)

Specificity

TrkB. The sequence used for the immunogen was chosen to avoid cross reactivity with trkA or trkC.

Immunogen

A synthetic peptide from rat trkB
Epitope: a.a. 54-67 rtrkB

Application

Anti-Trk B Antibody, pain, a.a. 54-67 rTrkB detects level of Trk B & has been published & validated for use in IH & WB.
Immunohistochemistry: 1:2,000-1:3,000. The antibody reacts well with tissue from the rat spinal cord.
Immunoblotting: 1:1,000-1:1,500 on rat membrane preparations. The antibody should be
evaluated for use in Western blot by the end user. Its utility will be dependant on the level of
the protein expressed in the tissues or cells being tested.
Optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user.

Neurotrophins (nerve growth factor [NGF], brain-derived neurotrophic factor [BDNF], neurotrophin [NT]-3, and NT-4) have been observed in elevated concentrations in allergic diseases. Neurotrophin levels are up-regulated endobronchially after allergen challenge. This coincides with an influx of activated eosinophils into the

Brain‑derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), a member of the neurotropic family, is expressed in osteoblast‑like cells of a fracture callus, however, its role in fracture healing remains to be fully elucidated. Osteoblasts isolated from Sprague Dawley rats were stimulated by BDNF
