General description
A 14-amino acid cyclic peptide that potently blocks phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate (PIP2)-induced actin assembly in Xenopus egg cytoplasmic extract (IC50 ~ 2 µM). Shown to directly bind to neural Wiskott Aldrich syndrome protein (N-WASP) with high-affinity, and prevent the activation of actin-related protein 2/3 (Arp2/3) complex by inhibiting the interaction between N-WASP and Arp2/3.
A 14-amino acid cyclic peptide that potently blocks phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate (PIP2)-induced actin assembly in Xenopus egg cytoplasmic extract (IC50 ~2 µM). Shown to directly bind to neural Wiskott Aldrich syndrome protein (N-WASP) with high-affinity, and allosterically stabilize the autoinhibited conformation of N-WASP. It prevents the activation of actin-related protein 2/3 (Arp2/3) complex by blocking the interaction between N-WASP and Arp2/3.
