General description

KLH-conjugated Linear Peptide corresponding to 9 amino acids surrounding phosphoserine 880 from the the C-terminal region of Rat Glutamate receptor 2.

Specificity

Anti-phospho-GluR2 (Ser880) is a rabbit polyclonal antibody that detects glutamate receptor 2 phosphorylated on serine 880.

Application

Epitope: C-terminus

Quality

Evaluated by Western Blotting in Rat Brain Microsomal Prep with Lambda phosphatase treatment.

Western Blotting Analysis: 2 µg/mL of this antibody detected Glutamate receptor 2 phosphorylated on Serine 880 in untreated Rat brain microsomal preparations, but not in preparations treated with Lambda phosphatase.

Physical properties

~110 kDa observed; 98.69 kDa calculated. Uncharacterized bands may be observed in some lysate(s).

Physical form

Purified rabbit polyclonal antibody in buffer containing 0.1 M Tris-Glycine (pH 7.4), 150 mM NaCl with 0.05% sodium azide.

Storage and Stability

Stable for 1 year at 2-8°C from date of receipt.
