General description

PI(3,4,5)P3 (diacylphosphatidylinositol-3,4,5-trisphosphate) is restricted to the cell membrane of inner leaflet. TopFluor PI(3,4,5)P3 is a fluorescently labeled-phosphoinositide derivative containing saturated acyl chain.
Phosphatidylinositol-3,4,5-trisphosphate (PI(3,4,5)P3) is an inadequate phospholipid present on the inner leaflet of the plasma membrane.

Biochem/physiol Actions

PI(3,4,5)P3 (diacylphosphatidylinositol-3,4,5-trisphosphate) serves as a substrate for PTEN (phosphatase and tensin homolog), a tumor suppressor protein. It has binding affinity towards the active site of phosphatase domain. TopFluor PI(3,4,5)P3 might be useful in monitoring protein induced phosphoinositide clustering. This product is considered photostable than other fluorophores.
Phosphatidylinositol-3,4,5-trisphosphate (PI(3,4,5)P3) plays a key role in inducing the cluster of Syntaxin1A at presynaptic terminals. It also regulates the activity protein kinase B/Akt.
