General description

L-α-Phosphatidylethanolamine (PE) is the second most abundant phospholipid in animals, plants and yeast.

Application

Egg Liss Rhod PE is suitable for the preparation of rhodamine dye labelled targeted nanoparticle (TNP) and RhB-labeled PEGylated nanoparticles. It has been used to stain lipids during vesicle preparation. It is also suitable to label liposomes

Biochem/physiol Actions

Egg Liss Rhod PE is a fluorescent labelling lipid, useful to study the nanoparticle - cell interactions. L-α-Phosphatidylethanolamine maintains membrane integrity.
