Application

3-(2,4,6-Trimethylbenzyl)-1-(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)-4,5-dimethylimidazolium chloride is a highly hindered and flexible unsymmetrical NHC ligand for hydrofunctionalization reactions. When combined with a group 11 metal (Cu, Au, Ag), this ligand can be used in hydroelement additions, element-element additions, carbo-element additions, hydrations, hydroaminations, hydroarylations, hyroalkoxylations, hydrocarboxylations, cyclizations, hydrofluorinations, as well as a variety of combined processes using tandem reactions.
