General description

Pd/C is used as a catalyst for hydrogenation of ketones, alkynes, alkenes, nitriles, azides, imines, nitro groups, and heterocyclic aromatic compounds.

Application

Catalyst for:
  • Stille reaction
  • Hydrogenation reactions
  • Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling and Heck-Mizoroki reactions
  • Deoxygenation
  • Oxidation reactions
  • Coupling reactions
Recent journal articles also use Pd/C for the following:
  • Transfer hydrogenation of aromatic nitro compounds to anilines in the presence of methanol as a green reductant.
  • N-Methylation of nitroarenes and amines.
  • Aminocarbonylation of aryl iodides to synthesize primary amides.
  • Direct C-2 arylation of indoles with arylboronic acids.
  • Synthesis of polyamides via carbonylation polycondensation reaction.
Product can be used with our benchtop hydrogen generator, H-Genie Lite (Z744083)
