應用

硫氰酸胍已用作RNA裂解稳定缓冲液的组成部分。它可用于内源性RNases的失活,导致核蛋白配合物变性。它也适用于高分子变性(例如核酸和蛋白质)以及RNA分离。
离液剂和强效变性剂;溶解细胞。

生化/生理作用

硫氰酸胍(GTC)在蛋白质变性中发挥作用。它参与从核糖中分离核蛋白体核糖核酸(rRNA)以及核糖核酸酶(RNase)的变性。GTC已应用于展开和重折叠荧光蛋白(FP)。它可以与苯酚和氯仿一起用于提取RNA。

原則

硫氰酸胍可以干扰大分子的氢键和分子内相互作用。它能溶解蛋白质,导致细胞结构崩解。
