生化/生理作用
半乳糖氧化酶可催化D-半乳糖向D-半乳糖-己二醛的转化。

基本上没有观察到D-葡萄糖、L-半乳糖、L-阿拉伯糖或D-葡萄糖醛酸盐的氧化。
