Zastosowanie

Anti-ACSS2 antibody produced in rabbit, a Prestige Antibody, is developed and validated by the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) project . Each antibody is tested by immunohistochemistry against hundreds of normal and disease tissues. These images can be viewed on the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) site by clicking on the Image Gallery link. ACSS2 encodes a cytosolic enzyme, acetyl-CoA synthetase (ACS). It is highly essential along with Hypoxia Inducible Factor 2 (HIF-2) for maximal colony formation, proliferation, migration, and invasion during stress. It stimulates the activation reaction of acetate for lipid synthesis and energy generation. Acetate plays a major role in almost all of the metabolic pathways. Monomeric form of the ACSS2 generates acetate in a ATP dependent reaction. The activity is controlled by sterol regulatory element-binding proteins (SREBPs). It is clinically associated with the cancer cell growth under low-oxygen and lipid-depleted conditions.
