Opis ogólny

The HY-LiTE® Jet A1 Fuel Test Kit contains ready-to-use pens for detection of total biological contamination of Jet A1 fuel used in conjunction with the HY-LiTE® 2luminometer. Fuel contains small amounts of water and bears the risk of microbial contamination. Adenosine triphosphate (ATP) is detected by reaction with a luciferin/luciferase reagent in a buffered solution. The test kit is designed to indicate the presence of metabolically active biological material such as bacteria, yeast, and molds, including sulphate-reducing bacteria and other anaerobic microorganisms, which may not be detected by traditional growth-based methods.MEASUREMENT LIMITS:
IATA (International Air Transport Association) “Guidance Material on Microbiological Contamination in Aircraft Fuel Tanks” 5th Edition:
  • Negligible: < 1000 RLU/liter fuel
  • Moderate: 1000 – 5000 RLU/liter fuel
  • Heavy: > 5000 RLU/liter fuel
The limits suggested above are based on the HY-LiTE® 2 luminometer’s measurement scale. They apply only to Aircraft Wing Tank samples and are based on comparison with other routinely used methods. These limits are a suggestion only and may need to be adapted for other types of samples and according to individual circumstances, frequency of testing, history of contamination etc.
This fuel test kit contains patented capture solution for sampling from Jet A1 fuel samples.
