ローダミンBイソチオシアナート-デキストランは以下の用途に用いられています：
- A、CI-M6PR-GFP、Lamp1-CFP-発現野生型マウス胎児線維芽細胞（MEF）に標識するため
- エンドソーム／ファゴソーム融合アッセイでエンドソームの融合率を測定するため
- ヒーラ細胞取り込みをモニタリングするためのポレーション培地の構成要素として
生物化学的／生理学的作用
ローダミンBは、組織を赤色～紫色に染色し、鮮やかな赤色で蛍光発光します。昆虫のマーキングによく用いられます。
