Isoniazid EP Reference standard, intended for use in laboratory tests only as specifically prescribed in the European Pharmacopoeia.

Azioni biochim/fisiol

Antibiotico per il trattamento del Mycobacterium tuberculosis, inibisce la biosintesi dell'acido micolico. Metabolizzato dalla N-acetiltransferasi epatica (NAT) e dal citocromo P450 2E1 (CYP2E1) a formare epatotossine. Induce selettivamente l'espressione del CYP2E1. Inibisce reversibilmente le attività di CYP2C19 e CYP3A4 e inattiva meccanicisticamente CYP1A2, CYP2A6, CYP2C19 e CYP3A4 a concentrazioni clinicamente rilevanti.
