醛脱氢酶(ALDH)家族包含19个人类基因。它同时位于细胞核、细胞质、线粒体和内质网上。
應用
面包酵母来源的醛脱氢酶已用于通过Tottmars方法测定醛脱氢酶活性,以确定血清样品中烟酰胺腺嘌呤二核苷酸(NADH)含量变化。它还用于丙酮酸脱羧酶测定。
生化/生理作用
醛脱氢酶(ALDH)是参与非P450醛还原酶系统的关键酶之一。它可以保护细胞免受有毒物质影响。目前确知ALDH的表达水平随肺癌严重程度增加。ALDH可降低因心肌梗塞或心脏手术术后引起的心脏缺血程度。这一基因突变引起的导致Sjogren-Larsson综合征是一种常染色体疾病。
