Immunoglobulin G (IgG) is a glycoprotein antibody that regulates immune responses such as phagocytosis and is also involved in the development of autoimmune diseases. Mouse IgGs have four distinct isotypes, namely, IgG1, IgG2a, IgG2b, and IgG3. IgG1 regulates complement fixation in mice.

Applicazioni
Anticorpi anti Trypanosoma cruzi sono stati rilevati nei sieri di topi infettati grazie al test ELISA con un anticorpo di capra anti IgG di topo coniugato con fosfatasi alcalina specifico per catena. Le piastre sono state rivestite con antigene di T. cruzi e bloccate con BSA/PBS all′1% prima dell′incubazione con l′anticorpo coniugato.
For detection of IgG antibodies in mouse sera and saliva following S. gordonii infection, ELISA assays were performed using anti-mouse IgG alkaline phosphatase antibody at 1:20000. This antibody did not detect IgA antibodies.
