Allgemeine Beschreibung

Dexamethasone is a synthetic glucocorticoid and cortisol analogue. It is used in the suppression of adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) and cortisol production in normal subjects.

Anwendung

Dexamethasone may be used as a reference standard in the determination of dexamethasone in biological samples using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
