General description

Immunoglobulins (Igs) belong to immunoglobulin super-family. IgG is abundant immunoglobulin in proteins in human serum. The four classes of IgG can be IgG1, IgG2, IgG3 and IgG4.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Dog IgG is a glycoprotein antibody that mediates intestinal antibacterial defense mechanisms. It may regulate the phagocytosis of Gram-negative bacteria . Anti-dog IgG antibody is specific for IgG in dogs.

Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 0.05% MIT
