IgM抗体以五聚体的形式存在于血清中,其是通过对抗原的反应而产生的来源于鼠骨髓瘤的IgM, κ是由BAPC/c小鼠皮下注入的TEPC 183肿瘤细胞系产生的。
IgM是一种脊椎动物中高度保守的抗体,在免疫应答过程中早期表达。它是由腹膜B细胞分泌的。

特異性

生化/生理作用
IgM在凋亡细胞的吞噬中起关键作用。血清IgM水平降低会导致自身免疫反应增强,并增加感染风险。IgM显示出多反应和自动反应功能。它可通过介导基于组织的分子的清除在组织动态平衡中起关键作用。IgM具有与N-连接的糖基化位点,其中糖是甘露糖、半乳糖、N-乙酰氨基葡萄糖和唾液酸。IgM连接的琼脂糖树脂经检测是有效的结合物结合。
