生化／生理作用
复方新诺明是甲氧苄啶和磺胺甲恶唑的组合，可通过阻止核苷酸的生物合成来干扰叶酸在细菌细胞中的细胞代谢。甲氧苄啶与二氢叶酸还原酶（DHFR）结合，从而抑制二氢叶酸（DHF）还原为四氢叶酸（THF），从而产生抗菌作用。新诺明通过阻止对氨基苯甲酸向辅酶二氢叶酸的转化来干扰敏感微生物中核酸的合成。这些作用的最终结果是抑制胸腺嘧啶核苷的合成，从而阻止细菌 DNA 的合成。
