抗血清可与霍乱毒素反应,但与葡萄球菌肠毒素A和葡萄球菌肠毒素B和假单胞菌外毒素A(蛋白浓度:50-500 ng / dot)无反应。尚未检测本品对活性霍乱毒素的中和效力。
霍乱毒素是霍乱的病原体,由按照AB5的化学计量组装的两个亚基A(27 kDa)和B(12 kDa)组成。 B亚基可与位于肠上皮细胞膜中的特定受体单唾液酸神经节苷脂 GM1结合。A亚基的A1片段可改变位置穿过宿主细胞膜,并催化腺苷酸环化酶复合物的Gsa调节成分的ADP核糖基化。由此导致的循环AMP水平的增加促进了多种作用,包括肠上皮细胞氯离子的分泌。
