酰基辅酶 A 合成酶属于腺苷酸合成酶超家族。具有保守的三磷酸腺苷/单磷酸腺苷 (ATP/AMP) 结合基序。
應用

生化/生理作用
酰基辅酶 A (CoA) 合成酶 (ACS) 酶催化两步硫酯化反应,涉及游离脂肪酸 (FAs) 转化为 CoA 酯。ACS 的底物从 2 个碳至 26 个碳不等。参与脂类代谢 FAs 的激活,并使 FA 能够参与各种细胞代谢途径。
酰基辅酶 A 合成酶蛋白参与调节和促进哺乳动物细胞中长链脂肪酸的转运 。
