General description

The QuEChERS Shaker and Rack Starter Kit includes one each of the following:
  • Benchmixer XL multi-tube vortexer (Z765503 or Z765511)
  • 50 mL QuEChERS Extraction Tube Shaker Rack (55279-U)
  • 15 mL QuEChERS Cleanup Tube Shaker Rack (Z765589)
  • 2 mL QuEChERS Cleanup Tube Shaker Rack (Z765554)

The Benchmixer XL is a heavy duty vortex mixer designed to facilitate hands-free mixing in tubes, flasks, vials or cylinders. It is ideal for the QuEChERS pesticide analysis method and is instantly adaptable to an exceptionally broad range of vessels, racks and applications (horizontal or vertical).

The precisely balanced drive system includes an oversized motor that delivers accurate, reproducible speeds up to 2500 rpm with rattle-free operation and minimal vibration. The programmable pulsing function allows for time specific interval mixing, increasing agitation.

The 7 x 12 inch platform accommodates a wide variety of standard, pre-drilled tube racks (a complete listing can be found in the ordering information section). Additionally, BenchMixer XL can easily be adapted to almost any type of vessel commonly found in the laboratory (please feel free to contact us for details).

Using BenchMixer XL is easy; after loading the sample rack and tightening the locking knobs, select the desired speed and run time on the large digital control panel. Then, simply press "Start" and the BenchMixer XL will perform unattended mixing for up to 100 hours.

BenchMixer XL′s large capacity and adaptability make it an ideal choice for the medium to high throughput laboratory.

  • Hands-free, high capacity vortexing
  • Up to 2500 rpm, a true vortex in every tube
  • Assortment of accessories for a variety of tubes, flasks & plates
Pulsing program for interval mixing

Extraction of Permethrin Pesticides from Spinach Using QuEChERS Methodology with Automated Shaking

Glyphosate and related compounds are measured in oatmeal and infant cereal using ion-exchange polymer-based particles for HPLC and SPE. Low level detection was obtained.

Pistachios contain approximately 45% fat, which can result in a significant amount of coextracted matrix in the acetonitrile extract generated using the QuEChERS procedure. A zirconia based adsorbent significantly reduces coextracted matrix prior to LC-MS or GC-MS.

A procedure for cleanup of green tea extracts provides low background and allowed for the analysis of more pesticides at lower levels than QuEChERS. Uses less solvents and no toluene.

Potency testing in marijuana-infused edibles is an important problem that analytical labs are facing due to the complexity of the involved matrices. Concentration of active ingredients in these edibles can range from a few parts per million to 3.5 parts per thousand. This application demonstrates the extraction and HPLC-UV analysis of the active compounds.

Paprika is a spice made from dried sweet peppers, and is used for flavor and color in many types of cuisine. Contamination with polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) can occur when pepper plants are exposed to these pollutants in the environment and/or during the drying process.
