General description

Rhodamine B is a xanthene dye, which functions as a water tracer fluorescent. It is used as a staining fluorescent dye.
Rhodamine B is bright-red in color.

Application

Rhodamine B has been used:
  • as a fluorescent dye for cross staining 1-N-methylamino-5-isocyanonaphthalene (MICAN)
  • as a fluorescent dye in confocal microscopy
  • to study its fluorescence in water and ethanol solutions

for cross staining of N-methylamino-5-isocyanonaphthalene (MICAN)
