General description

Tumor Necrosis Factor-alpha (TNF-alpha), also known as TSG-6, is a potent lymphoid factor that exerts cytotoxic effects on a wide range of tumor cells and certain other target cells. The mature form of human TNF-alpha has 157 amino acid residues. TNF-alpha induced protein 6 may be involved in cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions during normal inflammatory responses and during tumorigenesis.

Specificity

Published to react with human TSG-6 (Nagyeri, G., et al. (2011). JBC. PMID: 21566135).

Immunogen

Epitope: Unknown
GST-tagged recombinant protein corresponding to mouse TSG-6.

Application

Detect TNF-alpha induced protein 6 (TSG-6) using this Anti-TNF alpha Antibody, clone NG3 validated for use in WB, ELISA. This TNF alpha antibody has been tested in Human and Mouse.
ELISA: A previous lot of this antibody was used in capture ELISA to demonstrate a typical standard curve for measuring TSG6 from normal (naïve) serum.

Western Blot Analysis: A previous lot of this antibody was show to detect human or mouse samples (Nagyeri, G., et al. (2011). JBC. PMID: 21566135).
