Specificity

The antibody reacts with human, natural and recombinant TNF-alpha. lt does not react with human TNF-beta (lymphotoxin). lt does not react with TNF-alpha from mouse, rat, canine, porcine, rhesus-monkey or baboon.

Immunohistochemistry

Neutralization: 50 ng of TNF-alpha antibody is required for the neutralization of 1 U TNF-alpha. The TNF-alpha-preparation which is used has a specific activity of 2 x 10(7) U/mg protein [cell lytic assay with L929 cells (mouse transformed fibroblasts) and/or WEHJ 164 cells (mouse fibrosarcoma cells)/actinomycin D].

Optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user.

Purified immunoglobulin. Liquid in 0.01M PBS pH 7.1, 0.15M NaCl containing no preservatives. Sterile filtered.

Storage and Stability

Maintain frozen at -20°C in undiluted aliquots for up to 6 months. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Freeze only once.
