Specificity

Integrin alpha 4. Specificity determined by immunoprecipitation from a detergent extract of 35S methionine-labeled lymphoid cells. No cross-reactivity to alpha 1, alpha 2, alpha 3, alpha 5, alpha 6 or alpha V. The antibody recognizes an epitope on the cytoplasmic domain of the protein, and it is thus intracellular.

Immunogen

Epitope: cytoplasmic domain, C-terminus
Synthetic peptide derived from the COOH terminal sequence (cytoplasmic domain) of the human alpha 4 integrin subunit.

Application

Anti-Integrin α4 Antibody, cytoplasmic on C-terminus is an antibody against Integrin α4 for use in ELISA, IP, RIA, WB, IH.
ELISA/RIA: 1:1000.

Western blot: 1:1000, non-reduced conditions; blocking should be with 1-3% BSA. Recognizes a 140 kDa human alpha 4 band under non-reducing conditions.

Immunohistochemistry: 1:500

Immunoprecipitation: 5 μL of antibody is sufficient to precipitate alpha4 from 5x106 cells.

Optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user.

Integrin molecules are cell adhesion molecules that are thought to be involved in sperm-oocyte interaction in rodents and humans. The objective of this study was to evaluate whether integrin molecules were present on the surface of pig oocytes, consistent with
