General description

Tryptic Soy Contact Agar + LTH is designed for the determination of the total aerobic microbial count on dry, sanitized surfaces and personnel in the non-critical area.
TSA medium is used for the cultivation and isolation of a wide range of bacteria, yeasts, and molds. The formulation contains a combination of casein and soy peptones supplying organic nitrogen, particularly amino acids and longer-chained peptides. Sodium chloride maintains the osmotic equilibrium. The medium is also supplemented with neutralizers such as lecithin, polysorbate (Tween®) 80, and histidine to inactivate disinfectant residues.

Application

The TSA Settle plate is designed for the determination of the total aerobic microbial count on dry, sanitized surfaces, and personnel in the non-critical area.
